Hey, did you do anything special to use compton's transparent borders options with xmonad?
I didn't manage to, and I was told on IRC that it needs some work to properly work, because xmonad draws borders server-side.
Thanks :)

I use urxvt and this setting allows the transparent borders to happen: urxvt*depth:            32

What window manager are you using?
And how did you make that panel on the top? Is it conky?

XMonad. The panel on the top is conky piped to dzen2. I use this script here to size it based on whether I'm using an external monitor or not
